Building An Audience

My idea is to create a show called the ADHD show with my friend who actually has ADHD. It will follow im in his life to show you what he does in a normal day for him and on the final episode we will show him some of the footage back of the funniest moment and see what his reaction is.

Distribution platforms
To distribute this show I think the best places for it are YouTube because youtube is a worldwide video sharing social network where people but all types of videos on. The are how to videos, short movies to people recording there life every day (vlogging).

Also I would out it on 'Funnyordie' this is a video sharing website but only for comedy. My show is a comedy show where we follow my friend with ADHD to see what he does in his daily life and almost everything he does is either funny or a funny type of rude.

Another place to put my show on would be on itunes because there are all different types of videos and shows that get downloaded everyday of all different tpyes of genres.

The final place I would put my show is on Yahoo video as it is like youtube but with a smaller audience but if I put it on this as well as other websites this is a larger audience for me slightly.

 

Vimeo would be a website where I wouldnt put my video up because Vimeo is a place mainly for short movies such as dramas, horrors, comedys and thrillers.

Social Networking
Social networking would be very good for my show as I could you use facebook and twitter to creat pages on the show and the more people who like it could get exclusive content like behind the scenes footage and when the next episode will be up. People on facebook and twitter could share my page and make more people like it or follow it. I could also simply find out how many fans I have that watch the show by looking at the amount of likes or followers that the page has. I am unsure about using tumblr as it is more of a blogging site, but I guess I could put behind the scenes footage and pictures on the acound so that people that follow the acound can see.

Crowd-Funding

Crowd Funding is a type of funding for movies or series off fans of the person who is making it. It isnt just film that can be funded it can be music or games off the public. The most popular crowd funding site is kick starter where people of the public can choose  how much they want to give to that person. The person who has made the pitch on kickstarter has to set a target of a certain amount of money and if he doesnt get it all all of the money get returned and the pitch fails. If the pitch succedes then you must give something back to the people depending on the amount of monie they pledge.

Press
If I send my pitch to a newspaper or magazine they will advertise it. If it is a local news paper such as the evening gezzette they will put it on for free as I am a local person and they like stories about local people and since I am local they would put a story about me and my film or what ever I am going to make. Depending on what type of pitch you are doing depeneds on what type of magazine it can go in to. e.g. If I was creating a music video, show or documentry it would be better to put it into a music magazine as that is where most of my audience will be looking.
